Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The quoting system needs six pieces of information: your gender, birth date, how you'd describe your general health, whether you use tobacco, the coverage amount you're interested in, and the term length. With just those answers, you get real rates from the carriers. Your full name, address, and medical details stay private unless you decide to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
These are the rates each carrier quotes for the health class you selected in the quote tool—they're estimates provided for comparison. After you apply, the carrier does underwriting and may confirm, improve, or adjust your health class, which affects the final premium. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell insurance or a guarantee of any price.
What happens when I click Apply?
The application starts with the quote you selected and your first name pre-filled. It opens in a secure system run by the carriers' application platform. You can work on it now or finish later, and you'll sign electronically when ready. All applications are processed by Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129).
Will I need a medical exam?
That depends on the specific carrier, the amount of coverage, and your answers. Many carriers now offer accelerated underwriting programs that can decide without a paramedical exam for qualified applicants. Each quote on this site indicates whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required for that specific product.
Is a longer term better?
Choose a term length based on when the financial protection matters most. A term covers the years when a death would create real hardship—a mortgage that's still outstanding, kids still at home, debt obligations. Longer terms cost more each month but lock in your rate for more years. The quote tool lets you compare terms from 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years to see the trade-offs.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool collects no personal contact information and sells nothing. No visitor data is shared or sold, and our usage measurement doesn't rely on cookies. For complete details on what gets collected and who can access it, read the privacy page.
